After completing the program at the Whosoever Gospel Mission, I came to Depaul House and found a great place with supportive counselors. I have enjoyed seeing everyone treated like men, though society often casts us out. After we fall, the counselors at Depaul House help us to stand on our two feet. It has been difficult, but I’ve learned that God uses people in spite of your life circumstances. I have discovered that the key is to stay focused on what is ahead of me rather than dwell on the past.  Currently, one of my goals is to stay connected with my two grandchildren. I want to remain an active part of their lives. I also want to find a good job with medical coverage. I look forward to one day moving out and finding my own place.
