Reynolds Mensah understands struggles and obstacles. Reynolds arrived in the United States from Ghana 30 years ago. Since then, he has held a lot of different kinds of jobs: in hotels, bakeries, driving limos... anything to keep his mind active. He's raised his children, learned new languages and amassed a formidable library of books.
Unfortunately, everything fell apart earlier this year when his car broke down and he no longer had reliable transportation to get to work. He lost his job and eventually his apartment, which is how he arrived in a homeless shelter. While Reynolds is currently on track to move into his own apartment by February, he knows the struggles of homelessness and unemployment can break a person's spirit. This is why he wants the men of Depaul House to share their stories to inspire others and help them maintain hope. So, at his request, Depaul has started a new blog:
